Merchants Bank locations in Cottage Grove, Hastings, St. Charles and Winona will hold the 10 Days of Giving food drive from December 1-10.

This year’s food drive benefits the Friends in Need Food Shelf in Cottage Grove and the Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf in Woodbury. 
 
Monetary donations or toiletry items can be dropped off at Merchants Bank in Cottage Grove, sent with children to school or can be brought to the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train stop, near the Sieben Bridge, in front of the Youth Service Bureau, at 5:15 p.m. December 10. All donations made at the Holiday Train will benefit the Friends in Need Food Shelf. Contact us for more information.

This year’s food drive benefits Hastings Family Service. Merchants and area schools will collect monetary donations and non-perishable food items. 
 
Donations can be dropped at Merchants Bank in Hastings, sent with students to school or can be brought to the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train visit to Hastings, at the Canadian Pacific Depot, 500 East Second Street, 8:30 p.m., December 9. Contact us for more information.

Winona’s drive, which is celebrating it's 30th anniversary this year, benefits the food shelf at Winona Volunteer Services. To date, more than 3.2 million pounds of food have been collected, with each dollar being counted as two pounds of foods.

Saturday, December 1

Winter Wonderland Department 56 Original Snow Village  10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | 64 East 4th Street in Winona

You must see this spectacular showcasing of a local snow village. Tour the beautiful collection displayed throughout multiple rooms. Following the tour, Santa & Mrs. Claus will visit with guests on December 1 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Admission is the gift of non-perishable food items or monetary donation.

10% of all sales on December 1 will be donated. Bring in two cans of food and receive $1.00 off the purchase of a sandwich.

Island City Brewing Company Day | 65 East Front Street in Winona

10% of all sales on December 1 will be donated.

Sunday, December 2

Holiday Concert for the Hungry at 2:00 p.m. | WSU Performing Arts Center, 450 Johnson Street in Winona 

Enjoy an annual holiday concert performed by the Winona State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Winona State University Chamber Orchestra. Admission is the gift of non-perishable food items or monetary donation.

Tuesday, December 4

An Evening with Santa at 5:00-6:30 p.m. | WSU Kryzsko Commons (Lower Level), 250 West 10th Street in Winona 

Winona State University (WSU) invites the community to visit Santa. Punch and cookies will be served. Admission is the gift of non-perishable food items or monetary donation. With your donation, you'll also receive 20% off purchases at the WSU Bookstore during the event.

Wednesday, December 5

Winona 7 Theatre Day | 70 West Second Street in Winona

10% of all sales on December 5 will be donated.

Friday, December 7

Fish Fry Dinner at 5:00-7:00 p.m. | Elks Lodge, 4540 West Service Drive in Winona

Enjoy a fish dinner for only $11. Get your choice of batter-fried or broiled cod, choice of baked potato or fries, dinner roll and refreshments. Dine in or take out. Advanced tickets at Merchants Bank-Downtown Winona. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the night of the event.

Saturday, December 8

Holiday Lighted Parade at 5:30 p.m. | 6th Street in Goodview 

Enjoy the dazzling lights, Santa and Mrs. Claus and refreshments at Merchants Bank in Goodview. After the parade Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Elks Lodge to greet children. Bring monetary gifts or non-perishable food items. 

Sunday, December 9

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train 4:00 p.m. | Amtrak Station, 65 East Mark Street in Winona

Enjoy the sights and entertainment of the Canadian Pacific Railway Lighted Holiday Train. Refreshments will be served by Merchants Bank. Please bring gifts of non-perishable food items or a monetary donation.
