
Elizabeth Filter Named to Merchants Bank Advisory Board

Elizabeth Filter has been named to the Merchants Bank La Crosse Market Area Advisory Board according to Erick Maki, Regional President-South.
“We are thrilled to welcome Elizabeth to our Advisory Board. With her extensive experience in aiding diverse communities and her commitment to workforce development, she possesses valuable insights into the needs of our community and how Merchants Bank can support these needs,” said Maki.
Filter has been with VARC (Vernon Area Rehabilitation Center) since 2009 when she joined the organization as a Director of Rehabilitation, being promoted to Executive Vice President in 2017 and then President and CEO in 2019.
In addition to the Merchants Bank Advisory Board, Filter serves as a board member for the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), La Crosse Chamber of Commerce, Disability Service Provider Network and Workplace Development Board. She also serves as the Board Treasurer for the 7 Rivers Alliance.
“I see shared values between VARC and Merchants Bank,” said Filter. “Both organizations deeply invest in our communities through diverse local initiatives. As a board member, I look forward to contributing my insights and expertise to the Bank's community-focused work."
The Board and Advisory Board leadership structure is well established in the Merchants culture and has contributed to the growth of the organization. The La Crosse Market Area Advisory Board was established in 2009. Advisory Boards across Merchants’ footprint ensure the Bank is connected with the communities served and provides key insights into the local population and economies.
