You may be aware that we recently migrated to a new Online & Mobile Banking system. Have you logged in to see the sleek new look and take advantage of the new features?
 
Some Highlights Include:
  • Track account activity with customizable alerts that can be pushed to your email or cellphone
  • Check your estimated credit score and monitor credit inquiries
  • Send secure messages to Electronic Banking
  • Submit a secure travel notification to make sure your cards work while you’re out of town
Need to Know How to Get Logged In?
  1. Go to your usual place to get logged in: www.merchantsbank.com or use the Merchants Bank mobile banking app.

  2. Use your current login credentials. Follow the prompts provided to update your personal information. It may be helpful to have a copy of your most recent statement or your checkbook to reference.
  3. You will need your phone (cellphone or landline) next to you to verify your identity with a two-factor authentication process.
    a.    “Two-Factor Authentication” is an enhanced security feature that confirms your identity through a code sent to your mobile device, phone call or personal security questions when you log in for the first time from a new device.
What Information Will Migrate:
  • Your login credentials
  • Bill pay payees
  • Merchants Bank accounts set up for transfers and scheduled transfers involving these accounts
What You Will Want to Set Up in the New System:
  • Account alerts
  • Your account nicknames
  • External linked accounts (non-Merchants Bank accounts)
  • Spending (Personal Financial Management) – This was Manage My Money in the old system.

Thursday, June 11: Movie Day – Winona 7 Theatre, Winona, MN
Please join us for our next Movie Day on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Winona 7 Theatre. We will have refreshments and a movie. Doors will open and refreshments served beginning at 8:00 a.m. and the movie will begin at 9:00 a.m.  The manager requests that the doors stay locked until 8:00 a.m., so you will not be able to get into the building until that time.
 
In May, we will be accepting donations of toiletries and personal hygiene items for Winona Volunteer Services. Items to consider donating include shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, body wash, bar soap, disposable razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene products. Thank you for your generosity!

Friday, May 8: “Thank Goodness It's Spring!” Shopping Trip – Gertens and Twin Cities Premium Outlet Mall - Inver Grove Heights, MN
If you are already wishing for warmer temperatures, impatiently waiting for the snow to melt, and waiting for the first signs of spring, this trip is for YOU! Join Events and Adventures for our annual trip on Friday, May 8, 2020 to Gertens Nursery in Inver Grove Heights and the Twin Cities Premium Outlet Mall in Eagan for our “Thank Goodness It’s Spring” Shopping Trip and experience the season of spring in its full glory! We will spend most of the morning at Gertens, followed by a short ride to the Twin Cities Premium Outlet Mall for an afternoon of shopping.
 
Customer cost for this trip is $38/person; non-customer cost is $42/person. If you have a Merchants Bank debit or credit card, your cost is $33/person. The cost includes coach transportation, muffins and juice on the bus, and a tip for the driver. Deadline to sign up and pay for this annual trip is Wednesday, April 15.

Monday, June 15: Minneapolis Queen Cruise and Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, - Minneapolis, MN
Nothing says “summer” more than a trip on the water! Events and Adventures is heading to Minneapolis on Monday, June 15 to take part in an afternoon lunch and sightseeing cruise. We will depart on the Minneapolis Queen Paddleboat from Bohemian Flats in Minneapolis. The narrated Mississippi River cruise will take you along the southern route of the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway and Heritage Trail system, along the University of Minnesota Campus riverfront, under the stunning 35W Bridge, through the lower St. Anthony Falls Lock system showcasing views of the St. Anthony Falls, the historic Stone Arch Bridge, amazing river bluffs with views of the amazing downtown Minneapolis. (FYI – This is a DIFFERENT cruise than we have taken in the past.)
 
Following our sightseeing cruise, we will spend some time at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden (home of the famous “Cherry and Spoon” exhibit.) Here you can walk the grounds and explore as much (or as little) as you would like.
 
Customer cost for this trip is $80/person, and non-customer cost is $90/person. If you have a Summer FUNd, your cost is $73/person. The cost includes coach transportation, 90 minute narrated river cruise, lunch aboard the Minneapolis Queen, refreshments on the bus, and a tip for the driver. Saturday, June 20: 30th Annual Pancake Breakfast – Merchants Bank, Downtown Winona
Nothing says “Steamboat Days” like pancakes under the big tent! Join us on Saturday, June 20 in the Merchants Bank parking lot for the 30th Annual Pancake Breakfast. The breakfast goes from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and Merchants Bank employees will be serving up all-you-can-eat pancakes, pork sausage links, ham, hash brown potatoes, and milk, juice, or coffee.
 
Our employee parking lot (to the east of the bank) will be open for easy and convenient parking for breakfast-goers. Cost for the breakfast is only $5/person, or $18/family. Children 5 and under eat FREE. No advanced tickets are required. The breakfast is held rain or shine, so plan on joining us for this annual Steamboat Days event on Saturday, June 20.

Saturday, June 27: “The Music Man” – Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, Chanhassen, MN
Events and Adventures is heading to Chanhassen Dinner Theatre on Saturday, June 27 to see this musical theatre classic. Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man” follows a fast-talking travelling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town are foiled when he falls for Marian, the town’s librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. Filled with songs including “Seventy-Six Trombones,” The Wells Fargo Wagon,” “Gary, Indiana” and more, this show is sure to delight audiences of all ages! If you are looking for a family-friendly show, look no further than “The Music Man!”

Saturday, July 11: Minnesota Twins vs. Toronto Blue Jays – Target Field, Minneapolis, MN
Get ready for an amazing experience at Target Field on Saturday, July 11 as we try a new twist on an old favorite trip! Events and Adventures will be watching the Minnesota Twins take on the Toronto Blue Jays from the comfort of our own SKYLINE SUITE at Target Field! In the suite, you are sure to enjoy indoor OR outdoor seating, an assortment of ballpark food (hot dogs, chicken tenders, popcorn, peanuts, etc.), all you care to drink soda and water and TWO beer/wine tickets.
 
Customer cost for this trip is $177/person, and non-customer cost is $185/person. The cost includes coach transportation, ticket to the game, food and beverages in the suite, refreshments on the return trip, and a tip for the driver. Thursday, July 16: Impractical Jokers in “Scoopski Potatoes” – Target Center,  Minneapolis, MN
Get ready to get your LAUGH on! Events and Adventures is heading to the Target Center on Thursday, July 16 to see James “Murr,” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, Joe Gatto, and Sal Vulcano (aka the Impractical Jokers).
 
Impractical Jokers have been making audiences laugh since 2011 by competing to embarrass each other while being filmed by hidden cameras. They are a top 5 comedy on cable, and truTV’s longest-running and top-rated original comedy. Parental discretion is advised (16+ suggested) due to mature content and inappropriate language. Before the show, you will have time in downtown Minneapolis to enjoy dinner on your own.
 
Cost for this trip is $107/person. Your cost includes coach transportation, ticket to the comedy show, refreshments on the return trip, and a tip for the driver. Deadline to sign up and pay is June 11, 2020.

Sunday, August 23: "Come From Away" - Orpheum Theatre, Minneapolis, MN and Weiderholt’s Supper Club, Miesville, MN
Travel with Events and Adventures on Sunday, August 23 as we venture to the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis for the show considered a Best Musical all across North America! Broadway’s “Come From Away” is a New York Times’ critics’ pick that takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them on September 12, 2001. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
 
Following the show, we will be stopping for dinner at one of our favorite establishments – Weiderholt’s Supper Club in Miesville!

Monday, August 31: Minnesota State Fair - Saint Paul, MN
Hop on the bus, and leave the parking to us! Join Events and Adventures on Monday, August 31 as we head to St. Paul to a summer favorite – The Great Minnesota Get-Together (aka: Minnesota State Fair!)
Get ready for a full day of events, rides, music, animals, food, shopping, attractions, and oh-so-much more! With stages, exhibits, and rides from one end of the fairgrounds to the other, there is something to keep your attention or feed your belly all day long.
 
Cost for Merchants Bank customers is $40/person; non-customer cost is $46/person. If you have an IRA with Merchants Bank, your cost is $36/person. Saturday, September 19: “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” – Fireside Dinner Theatre, Fort Atkinson, WI
On Saturday, September 19, Events and Adventures is returning to one of our favorite locations to see one of our most popular shows! Join us as we head to the Fireside Dinner Theatre in Fort Atkinson, WI to see a matinee performance of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” 
 
This telling of the biblical story of Joseph and his brothers is filled with fantastic music, amazing costumes, and an abundance of laughter, joy, and heart. Utilizing many different styles of music from pop/rock to country to musical comedy, this sparkling show follows young Joseph as he faces adversity and triumphs through his dreams and his strong, unwavering faith.

Saturday, October 17: Home Free “Dive Bar Saints” World Tour – Crystal Grand Theatre, Wisconsin Dells, WI and Driftless Glen Distillery Tour – Baraboo, WI

Looking for something new? Look no further than this trip! Events and Adventures is heading to the Crystal Grand Theatre in Wisconsin Dells on Saturday, October 17 to catch the a capella group “Home Free.” Be prepared to be amazed by five individuals who take making music to a whole new level, and seeing them in person is a one-of-a kind experience!

Before heading to the concert, we will be stopping at Driftless Glen Distillery in Baraboo, WI for a tour of where they store and age their bourbon and rye whiskey, as well as a walk-through of their production facility and a sampling of their 5 Driftless Glen Spirits. Between the distillery and the concert, we will be stopping for dinner at Pizza Ranch in Wisconsin Dells.
 
Customer cost for this full day of music and fun is $91/person. Non-customer cost is $98/person, and if you have a Certificate of Deposit with us, your cost is $86/person.
