Melissa Peterson Named Market President for Merchants Bank in Eau Claire

Melissa Peterson has returned to Merchants Bank as Market President in Eau Claire, WI according to Dan Massett, Regional President-North Region.
“Melissa’s extensive leadership experience in the banking industry will support continued growth for Merchants in the Chippewa Valley,” said Massett. “We’re pleased to welcome her back to lead our Eau Claire team.”
Peterson has 25 years of experience in the financial industry, including 17 years in banking. She was most recently Market President at Frandsen Bank & Trust in Eau Claire. Peterson is a Certified Public Accountant and has held numerous banking leadership roles throughout her career. She was a Commercial Banker at Merchants Bank-Eau Claire from 2019-2021.
“I was excited to come back to the bank that first brought me to the Eau Claire market. I came here to grow this branch, and it truly feels like where I belong,” shared Peterson.
Peterson graduated with a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. She is an active community volunteer, serving on Boards for the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce, Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation as Treasurer, and the Chippewa Valley Museum.
