Our La Crescent location is guided by our South Region/La Crosse Market Advisory Board, which is made up of local community members and business professionals.
Being a community leader is an important part of our mission. Our local team is proud to coordinate an annual food drive called Give a Buck to the Food Shelf Truck during our community celebration, Applefest, each September. Throughout the years the drive has collected nearly $20,000 and over 2,000 pounds of food and other necessities to support the La Crescent Food Shelf.

Our History
La Crescent joined the Merchants Bank family in 1990 when Merchants acquired La Crescent State Bank. The building was remodeled in 1997 to include a beautiful stained-glass apple tree above the entryway. The piece speaks to La Crescent’s moniker as the Apple Capital of the Midwest and the Bank’s commitment to community, shown in the ever-expanding roots of the tree.
