Being a community leader is an important part of our mission. Our local team is proud to sponsor the Lanesboro Walking Tour with the local Chamber of Commerce each year, the historic Commonweal Theatre, the Teacher’s Breakfast at the beginning of each school year and host the annual community picnic.

Our History
Lanesboro joined the Merchants Bank family in 2013 as part of an acquisition from Associated Bank, which included the location in Lanesboro and another in Rushford, MN.
Since Lanesboro’s founding, our bank location has been the only one in town. It was built in 1923 and has been remodeled a number of times.
